ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed seeking orders to punish the contemnors/respondents in accordance with law for their willful disobedience of the order in Crl.O.P(MD)No.14604 of 2024, dated 03.09.2024.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today (i.e., 01.04.2025), the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the final report came to be filed on 26.02.2025 and the case was taken on file in C.C.No.4 of 2025 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Lalgudi. He would further submit that the Superintendent of Police, in pursuance of the direction of this Court, has issued show cause notice to all the police officials, who were working in the said police Station for not commencing the investigation for the period of two years and also produced the copy of the show cause notice along with status report.

3.Recording the same, the Contempt Petition is closed for the present. The Superintendent of Police, Trichy, is directed to file a report after completing the departmental action.
