ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.2 of 2018 within stipulated time as fixed by this Court. 1/4

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that sofar 44 witnesses have been examined and the third accused, namely, Indira is still absconding and the efforts are being taken by the respondent Police to secure her. Hence, he seeks six months time to file final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the occurrence is of the year 2016 and FIR is of the year 2018, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.2 of 2018 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
