(R7 is suo motu impleaded vide order of this Court dated 04.06.2026 in this petition) Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the entire records of the 2nd respondent Proceedings relating to Mu.Mu.No.Aa2/5807/2025 dated 24.01.2026 quash the same as illegal, consequentially, direct 1st respondent to enquire and take departmental action against respondents 2 to 5 for misuse of administrative authority, and restrain the 6th respondent from relying upon or marking the impugned death certificate in O.S.No.146 of 2023 before the Principal District Munsif Court, Thirumangalam. ORDER

The writ petition is filed for a certiorarified mandamus calling for the entire records relating to the impugned order dated 24.01.2026 and to quash the same.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that as against the impugned order, the petitioner has filed an appeal to the District Revenue Officer, Madurai and already enquiry 2/6

notice was also issued on 30.03.2026. Further, the petitioner will be satisfied if the appeal be directed to be disposed of within the time as directed by this Court.

3. The learned Government Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the official respondents would submit that they will dispose of the appeal in the manner known to law, if adequate time is granted.

4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the sixth respondent would submit that only today he has filed vakalat and he needs to get further instructions from his client with reference to the various averments that are made and to the merits of the case.

5. I have considered the rival submissions made on either side and perused the material records of the case.

6. Considering the nature of issue involved, the District Revenue Officer, Madurai, is suo motu impleaded as the seventh respondent. Mr.R.Parthiban, learned Government Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the seventh respondent.

7. In view of the nature of order that this Court proposes to pass, no 3/6

further time need to be given to the learned counsel for the sixth respondent. The seventh respondent shall consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 20.03.2026 by issuing due notice to the petitioner as well as the sixth respondent and after conducting enquiry, final orders can be passed as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than four (4) months from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order.
