The petitioner is figuring as accused in Spl.S.C.No.66 of 2019 on the file of the learned Mahila Court, Thoothukudi. The petitioner is facing trial for the offences under Sections 366 of IPC and Section 3(a) read with Section 4 of POSCO Act. 2.The defacto complainant is the mother of the victim Esakki Thangam.

She has no objection for quashing the impugned proceedings. Sivapriya, the victim is also present before me. The parties got married to each other and they are blessed with two children also. If the proceedings are allowed to go on, it would cause severe hardship to the petitioner.
