ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to pass orders on the petition dated 15.09.2017 as directed by the first respondent vide proceedings in O.Mu.No.63263/2017/M1 dated 28.11.2017.

2.Heard Mr.R.J.Karthick, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Mr.P.Mahendran, learned counsel for the third respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.According to the petitioner, challenging the fair rent fixed by the third respondent, he filed a petition before the Commissioner/the first respondent herein. The Commissioner, in turn, by the order dated 28.11.2017, directed the petitioner to approach the Joint Commissioner/second respondent herein. Pursuant to the same, the petitioner has also sent a representation dated 15.09.2017 to the second respondent, seeking revision of the enhanced rent and the same is pending so far without passing any orders. Hence, this writ petition has been filed. 4.Considering the above said facts and circumstances, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.09.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, WMP(MD)No.482 of 2018 is closed.
