This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission and protection to conduct, Pongal games and as well as "Aadal Padal cultural programmes" on 14.01.2018 in the eve of Tamilzhar Thirunal festival in the temple namely "Sundara Vinayagar Kovil" situated at Paingal Village, Peravurani Taluk, Thanjavur District in pursuant to the petition dated 30.12.2017.

Heard, D.R.Murugesan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Shanmuga Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that every year during Pongal Festival the petitioner conducted

Aadal Padal cultural programmes. Likewise, in this year also, the petitioner has a proposal to conduct "Aadal Padal cultural programmes" on 14.01.2018 and for that, he gave a representation on 30.12.2017 to the second respondent, but, so far, the said representation has not been considered by the second respondent. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader has submitted that the respondents will consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders.

5.Considering the aforesaid submission, the respondents are directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 30.12.2017 and dispose of the same on or before 13.01.2018.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
