The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to restrain respondents 1 to 5 from granting approval or a licence for the establishment of an FL-2 Bar to the 6th respondent at D. No. 15/75/1, 2, Salem Main Road, No. 1 Tollgate, Pitchandavar Kovil 2/5

Area, Tiruchirappalli District, based on the representation dated 03.02.2026.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1, 3, and 5, on instructions, submitted that the licence had already been granted on 13.03.2026; hence, the prayer has become academic and infructuous. If the petitioner is aggrieved, the same has to be challenged in independent proceedings.

3. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
