The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 herein to take action as against the respondents 6 to 11 on the basis of the representation dated 27.01.2026 for misappropriation of funds of Arulmighu Malayala Sastha Ayyanar Temple, K.Pudupatti, Sivagangai District. 2.By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.Since no adverse orders are passed against the private respondents, notice to the respondents 6 to 11 is dispensed with. 4.Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is one of the devotees of Arulmighu Malayala Sastha Ayyanar Temple at Pudupatti Village, Sivagangai District. Alleging that the temple properties have been misappropriated and the amounts collected for the festival has not been properly accounted 3/7
by the private respondents, the petitioner has already given a representation on 27.01.2026 to the respondents 1 to 3. Since the said representation is pending consideration, the present Writ Petition came to be filed.
5.Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that with regard to the allegations made by the petitioner against the private respondents, no documentary evidences have been produced. Hence, prays for dismissal of this Writ Petition.
6.Heard the learned Counsel for the parties.
7.Admittedly, the petitioner is the devotee of the temple. He is making allegations against the private respondents with regard to swindling of the amounts collected for temple festival, maintaining improper accounts etc,. However, no documentary evidences have been produced by the petitioner to substantiate his allegations. Therefore, making a representation with several allegations which are out of reach of the petitioner cannot be considered, since the petitioner is only a devotee. These are all 4/7
internal affairs of the temple in which a devotee cannot interfere. Already the temple is under the control of HR & CE Department and if there are any misappropriation, they would take necessary action. Hence, I do not find merit in this Writ Petition. 8.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
