PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No. 67/2022 on the file of the Respondent Police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as A6 was arrested, on 29/03/2022 and remanded to judicial custody for the alleged offences punishable under sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(c), 25 and 29(1) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.67 of 2022, seek bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 24/03/2022 at about 01.00 pm, on 1/3

secrete information, the de-facto complainant along with police party conducted vehicle check up near Uchapatti Temple, at that time, the Car bearing registration No.TN-02-H-1008 was intercepted and four persons were found in the vehicle. On search, they were found in possession of 322 kgs of ganja. Based upon that, further process was undertaken.

3.Seeking bail, this petition came to be filed by the petitioner. 4.The earlier application filed by the petitioner along with A5 has been dismissed by this court on the ground that prima facie materials have been collected during the course of investigation against the petitioners in the form of call registers. 5.This petition has been filed on the ground that the trial has been commenced before the trial Court. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the trial has been commenced and two witnesses have been examined and the matter is now posted for examination of other witnesses. 6.Now this Court find no change of circumstances to grant bail to the petitioner. Since the trial has been commenced in C.C.No.312 of 2022, there shall be a direction to the learned I Additional Special Court for Trial of NDPS Act Cases, Madurai, to expedite the trial process in this case and dispose of the same within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/3

7.In the result, this criminal original petition is dismissed with the above said direction.
