O R D E R

1. The petitioner is before this Court challenging the order dated 23.09.2025 passed by the third respondent, whereby the petitioner's request to cancel the death certificate of Thangaraja issued in favour of the fourth respondent dated 15.09.2018, and to issue a fresh death certificate based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.06.2025, was rejected.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, pending consideration of this Writ Petition, the third respondent conducted an enquiry and has removed the name of the fourth respondent from the "wife" column in the death certificate of Thangaraja. In view of the said subsequent development, the impugned order has been rendered otiose and the relief sought in this Writ Petition no longer survives for consideration.

3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Index :Yes / No 10.03.2026 Internet :Yes / No NCC :Yes / No gvn 3/4
