Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner representations dated 27.12.2021 seeking allotment of monthly installment house which was constructed by the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board at Athikulam, Madurai District.

Urban Habitat Development Board at Athikulam, Madurai District. 2.It is the case of the petitioners that they are eligible for allotment of a house and therefore, they have given a representation to the second respondent seeking for allotment of free or monthly installment houses which were constructed by the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board at Athikulam, Madurai District. Since the said representations have not been considered till date, they have filed these Writ Petitions.
3.Heard Mr.R.Ramachandran, learned Counsel for the petitioners and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice for the respondents.
4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioners' representations seeking for allotment of a house at the aforementioned place is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.Accordingly, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 27.12.2021 seeking for allotment of free or monthly installment houses which were constructed by the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board at Athikulam, Madurai District, and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioners.
6.With the above observation, these Writ Petitions stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
