This petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, praying to direct the respondents to take steps to impound the passport of 1st accused Joseph Amalraj on the basis of the FIR in Cr.No.33/2015 on the file of the Respondent police.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side).
3. As the Supreme Court has held that the passport can be impounded only by the passport authorities, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
