PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to renew/reissue the Passport to the petitioner considering the Application in File No.MD1075738470325 dated 26.09.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent to reissue the passport of the petitioner based upon his application dated 26.09.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.551 of 2023 on the file of the second respondent which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet in C.C.No.288 of 2024 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumangalam.

3. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial Court seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the orders to be passed by the concerned trial Court, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
