O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner from the third respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he is the owner of the land measuring 10 cents in survey No.271/1 in Marungapuri Village and he purchased the same through an unregistered document. While so, on 16.08.2024, the petitioner was cleaning the said land purchased by him, the third respondent came there and shouted, claiming the right over the property. Again on 11.02.2025, at about 10.00 a.m., when the petitioner was standing in Kallupatti bus stand, the third respondent scolded him in filthy language and caused threat with dire consequences. Therefore, he lodged a complaint, dated 11.02.2025 to the second respondent police and the same has not been considered. Therefore, he filed this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the second respondent received the Page No. 2 of 5

complaint from the petitioner and assigned C.S.R. No.86 of 2025, dated 15.02.2025 and also issued summon to the private respondent/third respondent. In the mean time, the petitioner filed this petition. However, they will complete the enquiry within a period of 15 days in accordance with law.

4. This Court heard both sides and perused the records.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without issuing notice to the private respondents, is inclined to dispose of this petition. According to the petitioner, he lodged the complaint before the second respondent, on 11.02.2025. But, the same has not been considered. Hence, he filed this petition. The second respondent also admitted the receipt of the complaint from the petitioner and as per the second respondent, he issued C.S.R. No.86 of 2025 and also summoned to the third respondent for enquiry. Therefore, they seek time to complete the enquiry.

6. Considering the above submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Court directs the second respondent Page No. 3 of 5

police to complete the enquiry within a period of 15 days from the date of this order and dispose of the same in accordance with law.

7. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
