ORDER

The writ petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to take necessary steps to cancel the erroneous entry of Patta in the name of the Tamil Nadu Bhoomidan Board in respect of survey number S.F.No.369/9, 0.09.5 hectares covered by the patta No.27, Pillaiyarnatham Village, Kovilpatti Taluk,

2. With the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner and before him his father have been in absolute possession and enjoyment of the subject lands in S.F.No.369/9. However, erroneously, the revenue records have been entered into the name of the Tamil Nadu Boomidhan Board in respect of the subject lands. According to the petitioner, even during the lifetime of his father, he had requested the respondents to remove the incorrect entry since he has not handed over or gifted the subject lands to the Bhoomidan Board. Presently, the petitioner made a similar request on 17.08.2024 which has not been disposed of. The petitioner seeks only an expeditious disposal of the said representation of the petitioner.

5. Considering the above, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent, the competition authority to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 17.08.2024 on its own merits and in 3/5

accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
