: Respondents (R3 is suo motu impleaded as per order of the Court dated 08.03.2023 in Crl.O.P(MD).No.3839 of 2023) PRAYER : Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner at the time of vacating his rental house on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2023 and 30.01.2023 respectively.

For Petitioner : Mr.S.Ragaventhre For Respondents : Mr.R.Sureshkumar Government Advocate (Crl.side) ORDE R This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner at the time of vacating his rental house on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2023 and 30.01.2023 respectively.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that though summon has been issued to the petitioner to appear before the City Crime Branch, the petitioner failed to appear inspite of receipt of the summons. He further submitted that this petition has been filed with an intention to conceal or hide the evidence. According to him, totally a sum of Rs.1.5 crores has been cheated by the petitioner, over which, there was a complaint and the petitioner is also evading the enquiry.

3. In view of the above, I find absolutely no merit in the petition and a person, who facing charges that is grievous in nature, is not entitled to such relief. Hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition. 2/6

The petitioner shall appear before the third respondent and co-operate with the enquiry. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
