This writ petition has been filed seeking permission and accord protection for conducting the "Kabadi Tournament" from 13.01.2018 to 15.01.2018 at 8.00 a.m to 8.00 p.m, to be held in Oottadi, Valliyoor, Tirunelveli District.

2.Heard Mr.M.Subash Babu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the Villagers of the Oottadi Village. The villagers are conducting the Kabadi Tournament in every year and this year, they have decided to conduct the Kabadi Tournament from 13.01.2018 to 15.01.2018. Hence, he seeks police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/ Inspector of Police, Valliyoor Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and dispose of the same on or before 12.01.2018.
