This Civil Revision Petition is filed to set aside the order of Return dated 08.01.2025 made in Unnumbered Review Petition SR of 2025 in C.C.No.58 of 2024 by the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Thanjavur and consequently direct the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Thanjavur to number the unnumbered Review Petition S.R.No.2 of 2025 in C.C.No.58 of 2024.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed a review petition against the order made in C.C.No.58 of 2024 dated 20.11.2024. Since the same was returned by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission stating that 'how this review application is maintainable'. The same is challenged before this Court.

3. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner herein / Revision petitioner submits that as per Section 40 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, grants 'the District Commission the authority to review its own orders if there's a clear mistake ("error apparent on the face of the 2/4

record"). This review can be initiated by the Commission itself or by any party applying within 30 days of the order, allowing corrections for factual or clerical errors without needing a full appeal'.

4. In view of the above submission, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Thanjavur, shall examine and number the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The registry shall return the original petition, filed along with the present application to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of.
