RESPONDENT/RESPONDENT Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to order of suspension of execution of sentence imposed upon the Appellant /Accused in the Judgment in S.C.No. 74 of 2002 dated 16.10.2002 on the file of Additional District and Session Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thanjavur at Kumbakonam and enlarge the petitioner on bail pending disposal of the main Crl.A.(MD0No.288 of 2016.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S P.T.RAMESH RAJA, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.T.MOHAN, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondent the Court made the following order:- As per the endorsement made by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner, this Petition for suspension of sentence is dismissed as not pressed.

However, considering the fact that the accused has been in prison from 16.10.2002, i.e., more than 14 years, the Registry is directed to prepare typed set of papers and list the appeal itself for final hearing on 26.09.2016.
