O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking permission to conduct "Adal Padal" programme on 16.01.2018 at 08.00 p.m to 01.00 a.m at "Arulmigu Sri Vannamudaiya Ayyanar Thirukovil" situated in Kullalampatti Village, Kalingipatti Post, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District and to provide adequate police protection for the same, based on the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2017. 2.Heard Mr.T.Indrachithu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Shanmugaselvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the Executive Members of the Arulmigu Sri Vannamudaiya Ayyanar Thirukovil. The devotees are conducting Festival in the Tamil month of 'Thai' in the above said temple every year and this year also, they have decided to conduct the said Festival and during the above said Festival, they have decided to conduct 'Adal Padal' programme on 16.01.2018. permission to conduct the said programme and give police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/ Inspector of Police, Valanadu Police Station, Trichy District is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and and pass appropriate orders on or before 12.01.2018.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
