RESPONDENT / ACCUSED No.1 Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to accept the affidavit filed by the petitioner and cancel the bail granted to the respondent in Crl.O.P.(MD) No. 8118/2016 dated 19.05.2016 on the file of Honourable High Court, Madurai. Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.A.ROBINSON, Government Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.S.M.A.JINNAH, Advocate on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- The State seeks cancellation of bail granted in favour of the accused in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8118 of 2016.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the accused submitted that charge sheet has been filed and it is pending before the 6th Additional District Sessions Court, Madurai. He would further submit that as many as 55 witnesses have been examined and 12 more witnesses have to be examined and the case is posted for examination of I.O.

3.Taking note of the subsequent progress made in the trial, this Court is not inclined to cancel the bail at this stage. It is necessary to point out that this application for cancellation of bail has been filed in the year 2016. For more than two years have https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

gone through, there is no process for cancelling the bail at this stage. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
