PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent not to disturb the petitioner in conducting prayer meetings in his house bearing Door No.7/59C(3) situated in S.No.377/1 in Kaliyal Village, Vilavan Code Taluk, Kanyakumari District.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police not to disturb the petitioner in conducting the prayer meeting.

2.It is seen from the records that already 107 proceeding is pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Padmanabhapuram. In this case, the police have already referred the issue to the Revenue Divisional Officer.

3.This Court has already issued directions to the Revenue Divisional Officer in Crl.O.P(MD).No.4673 of 2018 to conduct enquiry and the same has to be completed within a period of two weeks. 4.In view of the above direction, the petitioner shall await till a decision is taken by the Revenue Divisional Officer in the Section 107 proceedings. Now that the police have already referred the case for Section 107 proceeding, the file has also gone out at the hands of the police. In view of the above, no more directions are required to be given to the respondent police. 5.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
