O R D E R
The present writ petition has been filed challenging the working sheet issued by the second respondent demanding a sum of Rs.69,545/- from the writ petitioner on the ground of unauthorized use of electricity service connection.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, only the working sheet was served upon the petitioner without furnishing the provisional assessment order. In the absence of the provisional assessment order, the petitioner was not in a position to submit his explanation to the authorities. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. Pending the writ petition, the second respondent furnished a copy of the provisional assessment order along with the observation mahazar and the working sheet. Copies of the same have been served upon the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner.
4. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit his explanation to the provisional assessment order within a period of fifteen (15) 2/4
days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such explanation, the second respondent shall consider the same and proceed further in accordance with law.
5. With the above observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
