ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner had filed this petition seeking direction against the Respondent Police not to harass the Petitioner under the guise of an enquiry.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) on instructions from the Respondent Police submitted that based on the complaint given by the Respondents No. 3 and 4, the case was registered in C.S.R.63 of 2024 and the same was closed as a civil dispute. Now, the current paper is pending and the same is transferred to the Sanarpatti Police Station, Dindigul on 19.02.2024.

3. Considering the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) that the matter was related to a civil dispute, the Respondents No.1 and 2 are directed not to summon the Petitioner at odd hours. If at all, the Respondents No.1 and 2 shall follow the guidelines 2/4

issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Lalitha Kumari Vs. State of Uttar Pradesh reported in (2014) 2 SSC 1, and Arnesh Kumar Vs. State of Bihar and another [2014 (8) SCC 273] by issuing summon to the Petitioner specifying the date and time for the appearance for the Petitioner.

4. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
