ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 5 and 7

(3) of Lotteries (Regulation) Act, 1998 in Crime No.631 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with the other accused were found in illegal possession of banned lottery tickets. Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he would seek for anticipatory bail. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.3206 of 2023 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner along with the other accused were found in illegal possession of banned lottery tickets. The petitioner has got eight previous cases pending against him. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail. 5.Heard. Perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

6.Taking into consideration the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
