PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to conduct the enquiry in the protest petition dated 25.08.2020 in light of Circular in Na.Ka.No.37809/C1/2018 dated 04.10.2018 issued by the Inspector General 1/4

of Registration, Chennai in respect of property situated in S.No.471/16 and 471/17 at Samugrengapuram Village, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Vinayak For R1 & R2 : Mr.A.K.Manikkam Special Government Pleader O RDER This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to act upon the protest petition filed by the petitioner on 25.08.2020 and not to register any document that is presented pertaining to the subject property, 2.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the first and second respondents submitted that the protest petition has been given by the petitioner based on the pending proceedings before this Court in S.A. (MD)No.653 of 2005 and status quo that was passed pending disposal of the second appeal. Hence, as and when any document is presented for registration with regard to the subject property, the same will be taken into consideration by the second respondent and decision will be arrived at. 2/4
