This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2025 with regard to change of classification of the land and issuance of patta in the petitioner's name, based on the petitioner's long possession of the property in S.No. 149/11, to an extent of 6 cents (2695 sq. ft.), situated at Poolangudi Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Trichy District.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, submits that the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2025 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twenty weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The second respondent is further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry. In the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court. There shall be no order as to costs.
