O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking permission to conduct "Adal Padal" programme on 31.01.2018 at 08.00 p.m to 01.00 a.m at "Arulmigu Sri Subramania Swamy Thirukovil" situated in Vaiyapuri Village, Arasamali Post, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District and to provide adequate police protection for the same based on the petitioner's representations dated 03.01.2018.

2.Heard Mr.T.Indrachithu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

the "Arulmigu Sri Subramania Swamy Thirukovil". The devotees are conducting Festival in the Tamil month of 'Thai' in the above said temple every year and this year also, they have decided to conduct the said Festival and during the above said Festival, they have decided to conduct 'Adal Padal' programme on 31.01.2018. Hence, he seeks permission to conduct the said programme and give police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/ Inspector of Police, Karaiyur Police Station, Pudukkottai District is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and and pass appropriate orders on or before 22.01.2018.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
