ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2025 with regard to issuance of Patta in respect of property in Old S.No. 306, New S.No.660, measuring an extent of 29 cents, situated at Kanniyakumari Village, Agatheeswaram Taluk, Kanniyakumari District, within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the subject property is ancestral in nature and has been in the continuous possession and enjoyment of the petitioner's family for several decades. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 09.09.2025 seeking Patta. However, no action has been taken till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
