The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to renew the passport of the petitioner based upon his application dated 21.06.2023.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Crime No.323 of 2016 on the file of the second respondent, which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet in S.T.C.No.186 of 2016 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai.
3. In view of the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court concerned seeking permission of the Court to go 2/4
abroad. In case, if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.
4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
