PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to evict the encroachment made by the fifth respondent in public road in S.F.No. 282/1 situated at Valapuram Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the petitioner's representations dated 31.12.2021 and 12.02.2025. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J. NISHA BANU, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for a direction to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to evict the encroachment made by the fifth respondent in public road in S.F.No.282/1 situated at Valapuram Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the petitioner's representations dated 31.12.2021 and 12.02.2025. 2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 has produced a 2/5

communication of the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.35/2025/A5, dated .03.2025 addressed to him and submitted that the petitioner as well as the fifth respondent are encroachers and steps are being taken to remove the encroachment made by them and the third respondent has already initiated proceedings by due process of law and they will conclude the proceedings within the time stipulated by this Court.

3.In view of the above, the authorities concerned is directed to conclude the proceedings by following due process of law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
