This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission and to provide police protection for conducting the Minnoli Kabadi Tournament from 21.04.2018 at 11.30 pm., to 22.04.2018 at 06.00 pm., at S.P. Ground, Puliyangudi, Kadaiyanallur Taluk, Tirunelveli District.
2.Heard Mr.T.Indrachithu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Bhagawathi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3.The learned Government Advocate has submitted that the ground, which is mentioned in the petition belongs to Public Works Department and without getting permission from Public Work Department, the petitioner cannot seek police protection and hence, he opposes this petition.

4.Considering the aforesaid submission, the petitioner is directed to choose some other place and submit a fresh representation before the second respondent and on submitting such representation, the second respondent has to consider and pass appropriate order on merits and in accordance with law. At the time of passing order, the second respondent has to keep in mind the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. (Crl.) 233. 5.With the aforesaid observation, this petition is disposed of. No cost.
