This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to restore the Patta No. 3199 in respect of the property bearing S.No. 462/3A1 measuring 0.82.00 hectares in Akilandapuram Village, Kayathar Taluk, Thoothukudi District, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 17.07.2024.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 2 and 4 submitted that the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.07.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.07.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all interested parties in respect of the subject land. There shall be no order as to costs.
