Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner representation dated 11.1.2019 and grant exgratia amount from the Chief Minister Storm Relief Fund or any other Fund maintain by the Government to compensate the loss of petitioner husband Ravi and only son Rajapandi due to Gaja Storm.

2. The learned Government Advocate based on written instructions submitted that the respondent has sanctioned compensation for a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- payable to the petitioner and the cheque that was made ready was also produced before this Court.

3. The respondent shall hand over the cheque to the petitioner on or before 26.07.2021. If according to the petitioner, she is entitled for more compensation under the relevant G.O., it is left open to the petitioner to independently agitate the same, in accordance with law. This Contempt Petition is accordingly closed. No costs.
