This Criminal Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.172 of 2013.

2.According to the petitioner, he is the second accused in this case and he is facing trial in C.C.No. 172 of 2013 for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 323 and 324 of IPC and Section 4 of TNPHW Act. The FIR was registered in the year 2013 and the case is pending from the year 2013. So far trial has not been completed. In this case, already witnesses L.W.1 to L.W.7 were examined and thereafter, the case was posted on 20.06.2020 for production of witnesses L.W.8 to L.W.10, however no steps were taken to examine those witnesses. Therefore, this petition has been filed. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that already witnesses L.W.1 to L.W.7 were examined and thereafter, witnesses L.W.8 to L.W.10 were also produced before the trial Court for examination. However, the petitioner filed this petition seeking speedy disposal of the case.

4.Since already the trial has been commenced and most of the witnesses have been examined, this Court is of the opinion that it is appropriate to direct the trial Court to complete the trial in C.C.No.172 of 2013 as early as possible without giving any long adjournments. 5.With the above directions, this Criminal Petition is closed. 19.02.2025 Internet :Yes Index :Yes/No NCC :Yes/No LR To
