RESPONDENT/RESPONDENT Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to extend the time granted for appearing before the concerned Magistrate in Crl O.P.(MD) No.19652 of 2016 dated 26.10.2016 for a further period of 15 days.
Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.A.ANANDAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.P.KANDASAMY Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the Respondent the court made the following order:- Heard both sides.
2. Anticipatory bail was granted as per the order in Crl.O.P. (MD).No.19652 of 2016 dated 26.10.2016, directing the petitioner to appear before the Mahila Court, Ramanathapuram within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the order copy was received by the petitioner on 02.11.2016 and the present application for extension of time is filed before this Court on 02.01.2017. Hence, the petitioner has failed to surrender before the concerned Court within a stipulated time and the present petition is filed out of time.
4. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to extend the time. Accordingly, time for compliance is extended for a period of 10 days from the date on which the order copy is made ready, on condition that the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
shall pay a sum of Rs.800/- (Rupees Eight Hundred only) to the Legal Services Authority, Ramnad District.
