ORDER
The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the above Writ Petition had been filed seeking to quash the impugned order, passed by the 2nd Respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No./Se.Mu.Aa/2024, dated 16.02.2024 and consequently to direct the Respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct the Adal Padal programme on 24.02.2024 at 07.00 pm to 10.00 pm in connection with Thiru Vizha of Arulmigu Sri Kamatchi Amman Kovil, S.V.D.Nagar, Kovilpappakudi North Taluk, Madurai District.
2. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner further submits that the representation sent by the Petitioner to the Respondents 1 to 3 was rejected, therefore, he has filed this Writ Petition. 2/6

The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) on instructions of the Respondent Police submits that the Petitioner shall appear before the second Respondent Police and file a fresh representation. Based on which, the Respondent Police are ready to give permission, based on the judgments of the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court, the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4, had issued Circular in Rc.No.159539/Crime 4(3)/2018 dated 31.10.2018 and in Rc.No.007301/General-I(I)/2019, dated 09.04.2019.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the Respondent Police are directed to grant permission in the light of the Circular of the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu/Head of State Police Force, Chennai-4 andin Rc.No.159539/Crime 4(3)/2018 dated 31.10.2018 and in Rc.No.007301/General-I(I)/2019, dated 09.04.2019. 3/6
5. The Petitioner is directed not to put up any flex boards and not to apply any slogans or cause communal disturbance.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The impugned proceedings in Na.Ka.No./Se.Mu.Aa/2024, dated 16.02.2024 passed by the 2nd Respondent, is hereby quashed. No costs. 22.02.2024 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No NCC : Yes/ No LS Note: Issue order copy on 22.02.2024.
