ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.16 of 2023 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. 1/4

2. According to the petitioner, he is the defacto complainant in this case in Crime No.16 of 2023 and he lodged a complaint as against one Manickam and two others. Based on his complaint, a case in Crime No.16 of 2023 has been registered for the offences under Sections 120B, 406, 420 and 506(2) IPC and thereafter, no proper investigation was conducted. So far, the respondent has not filed the final report and therefore, he filed this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal) appearing for the respondent would submit that the investigation in this case is still pending and since some of the documents involved in this case, there is a delay in completing the investigation. However, they will complete the investigation within two months.

4. The date of F.I.R is 16.09.2023. So far, the respondent has not completed the investigation and the respondent also undertakes to complete the investigation within two weeks. Therefore, recording the above said submission of the respondent, this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation within two months from the date of this Order. 2/4

5. With the above said observation and direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
