PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.21 of 2020 on the file of the Respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner is in custody since 30.01.2020 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 302 of IPC for the offences punishable under sections 147, 148 and 302 of I.P.C., in Crime No. 21 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police. He seeks bail.

3. The petitioner's adoptive mother Rajeswari is said to have passed away this morning. The petitioner wants to take part in the funeral ceremonies.

4.I am therefore inclined to grant interim bail to the petitioner herein. Interim bail is granted on the following conditions:

(i)The petitioner will be released from the Sub Jail, Pudukkottai at 10.00 a.m., on 26.02.2020. He will surrender on 27.02.2020 at 5.00 pm. The petitioner will be escorted from the Sub Jail, Pudukkottai and brought to Karuppayurani under escort. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.3567 of 2020 (ii)The petitioner gives an undertaking through his counsel that the petitioner will remain under the watchful eyes of the police escort and he will do nothing that may embarrass the escort arrangements.

(iii)If the petitioner commits any breach of undertaking, it will be open to the police escort to take appropriate action and commit the petitioner to instant custody by involving the police who are available in the vicinity.

5.Since the petitioner has to attend the funeral, it would not be possible for the petitioner to undergo the usual formalities. Therefore, the Superintendent, Sub Jail, Pudukottai is directed to release the petitioner on production of a certified copy of this order.

6.The learned Government Advocate is also directed to indicate the respondent police as well as the prison authorities about the issuance of this direction.
