This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent No.1 to issue the badge license to the petitioner in Application in File NO.547042326 dated 03.02.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Special Government Pleader and learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The petitioner submitted representation on 03.02.2026 for issuance of badge license. However, since no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.
4. Learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents, would submit that though the petitioner has applied through online, nobody has appeared in person and produced documents and hence, they are not in a position to process the application and issue the said license. 2/4
5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to appear before the first respondent in person along with all the relevant documents and on perusal of all the documents, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application and accordingly, issue badge license and pass orders thereon. There shall be no order as to costs.
