O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission to conduct the Pongal Festival Sports and Cultural event on 14.01.2018 and 15.01.2018 in front of Nagamuthu Mariamman Temple, at Samynathanagar, Samayanallur, Madurai District.

2. Heard, Mr.G.Bhagavath Singh , learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.B.Bharathi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that every year during Pongal Festival the petitioner conducts Pongal Festival Sports and Cultural event. Likewise, in this year also, the petitioner has proposed to conduct Pongal Festival Sports and Cultural event on 14.01.2018 and 15.01.2018 and for which, he gave a representation on 19.12.2017 to the third respondent. But, so far, the said representation has not been considered by the third respondent.

4.The learned Government Advocate has submitted that the respondents will consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders.

5.Considering the aforesaid submission, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 19.12.2017 and dispose of the same on or before 13.01.2018. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
