ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 9(m) and 10 of Protection of Child From Sexual Offences Act, 2012, in Crime No.1 of 2026, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner sexually assaulted the victim, who is nine years old. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the offence committed by the accused are serious in nature and that the petitioner is 76 years old. Therefore, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2/4

5. Considering the fact taht the statement recorded under Section 164 supports the prosecution case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
