This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission to perform the cultural program such "Kabadi" Cycle Race and other related sports event for children on 14.01.2018 at Arulmigu Mandhaiamman Thirukovil", is situated at Mangalakudi, Uthankudi Post, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District. Based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 08.01.2018. 2.Heard, Mr.K.G.Arun Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and M/s.B.Bhagawathi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that every year in the Mandhaiamman Village people will celebrate the Pongal Festival and at that time they will conduct "Kabadi", "Cycle Race" and other related sports event for children. Likewise, in this year also, they want to celebrate the Pongal with aforesaid programmes at Arulmigu Mandhaiamman Thirukovil", situated at Mangalakudi, Uthankudi Post, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District. submitted that the petitioner has already submitted a representation on 08.01.2018. The respondent has not disposed of the said petition.

4.The learned Government Advocate has submitted that the same village, a communal problem is there and already two complaints were received on 17.06.2017 and 30.11.2017. Hence, it is not possible to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the programme.

5.Considering the aforesaid submission, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2018 and pass appropriate orders.
