... Respondents P RAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to take the petitioner's Appeal Petition dated 28.12.2024 on the file and dispose of the same within the time frame fixed by this Court. 1/5
For Petitioner : Mrs.J.Padhmaavathi Devi For Respondents : Mrs.K.Malathi Additional Government Pleader
ORDER
With the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. The petitioner seeks disposal of her appeal dated 28.12.2024. According to the petitioner, her sister has obtained fabricated Will from her father disinheriting the petitioner and based on the unregistered/forged Will dated 20.05.2021, the revenue authorities have granted patta to the petitioner's sister. Challenging the said transfer of patta, the petitioner has filed an appeal on 28.12.2024. The said appeal is pending with the second respondent.

4. The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the said appeal since the beneficiaries under the Will are trying to encumber the subject lands based on the alleged forged Will of the father.
5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the entitlement of the petitioner for cancellation of patta, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
