Common Prayer in WP(MD).Nos. 5504 to 5526 of 2018 : Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent i.e., the Secretary to Government, Public Works Department to pass appropriate orders on the petitioners representations dated on 20/10/2017 19/10/2017,23/10/2017,26/10/2017 and 30/10/2017 respectively based on G.O.M.S.NO.340 Finance (pay Cell) Department dated 26/08/2010 by extending the benefits to the petitioner Typist who got earlier selection but joined duty belatedly due to administrative reasons within a specified time.

3.The petitioners in these Writ Petitions are serving employees of the Public Works Department. They seek extension of the benefit conferred vide G.O.(Ms).No.340, Finance (Pay cell) Department dated 26.08.2010. In this regard, they have given representations on various dates.

4.The first respondent is directed to pass order thereon within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. It is open to the first respondent to pass orders one way or the other. 5.These Writ Petitions are disposed of accordingly. No costs.
