Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the first respondent police to monitor the investigation on the petitioner's complaint dated 21.10.2020 and to take further action.

ORDER

This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent police to monitor the investigation. 2.The main grievance of the petitioner is that she lodged a complaint against her husband with the second respondent and till date, there is no progress in the investigation. 3.Mr.S.Chandra Sekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would contend that the petitioner's complaint was registered in CSR No.474 of 2020 and since it is a matrimonial dispute, the matter was referred to the Social Welfare Officer for preliminary investigation.

4.Since the investigation is on the right track, I do not find any reason to direct the first respondent / Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai District, to monitor the investigation in CSR No.474 of 2020.
