This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission to perform the programme of "Adal Padal" on 15.01.2018 night at about 06.00.p.m., to 12.00.am., at Arulmigu Karpaga Vinayagar Thirukovil, is situated at Kattukudipatti, Manaloor Post, Thirupathur Taluk, Sivagangai District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2018.

2.Heard, Mr.K.G.Arun Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that every year during Pongal Festival the petitioner conducted Aadal Padal. Likewise, in this year also, the petitioner has a proposal to conduct Adal Padal on 15.01.2018 night at about 06.00.p.m., to 12.00.am. and for that, he gave a representation on 05.01.2018 to the respondent, but, so far, the said representation has not been considered by the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Government Advocate has submitted that the respondent will consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders.

5.Considering the aforesaid submission, the respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 05.01.2018 and dispose of the same on or before 14.01.2018.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
