(Order of the Court was delivered by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) The writ petitioner Ahila is an aspirant for the post of PG Assistant(Chemistry). She took part in the recruitment process conducted in the year 2018-19. She belongs to BC category. She was originally selected. But then, since another candidate who was elder to her, had also secured very same mark as herself, she was placed first in the reserved list. The grievance of the writ petitioner was that even though there were vacancies, the reserved list was not operated at all. That led to the filing of more than one writ petition. Finally, she succeeded before the learned single Judge. Aggrieved by the same, TRB filed this writ petition.
2. We heard the learned counsel on either side at considerable length. We called upon the appellant to consider the feasibility of accommodating the petitioner against BC vacancy. The matter was adjourned to enable the appellant to explore the said possibility. Today when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the Board furnished a copy of the communication dated 03.07.2025 sent by the Teachers 2/4
3 W.A.(MD)NO.558 OF 2025 Recruitment Board to the user department. It is seen therefrom that the appellant had sponsored the writ petitioner for appointment as PG Assistant (Chemistry) against GT vacancy. The user department vide proceedings dated 11.07.2025 has also appointed the writ petitioner as PG Assistant (Chemistry).
3. Recording the said subsequent developments, this writ appeal stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
