O R D E R

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Petitioner had filed this Petition seeking Writ of Mandamus against the respondents to conduct the 'Adalum Paadalum' Cultural Program on 25.02.2024 in pursuant to the celebration of festival of Arulmigu Sri Karuppasamy Kannimar, Mathumari Amman Thirukovil.

2. It is further submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that he had given a representation dated 14.02.2024 to the second respondent which had not been considered by the second respondent.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions of the respondents, would submit that usually, in a village temple festival, the organizing committee seeks permission to organize the events, cultural programme and other celebrations and that the petitioner is an individual and he had approached the second respondent and therefore, the permission was refused.

3. In the light of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation today itself along with the members of organizing committee instead of giving representation on the basis of individual. It shall be the organizing committee of the festival. If the representation is given today, the respondents shall consider it today itself. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor undertakes to consider it favourably in the light of the Circular issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu. If the permission is granted along with police protection, the organizing committee shall pay the necessary charges as per the Circular issued by the Director General of Police.
