This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to rectify the revenue records and to grant patta in respect of the property in Survey No.373, situated at T.Idaiyapatti West Village, Kadavoor Taluk, Karur District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 08.11.2021.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the subject property was purchased by the petitioner's grandfather on 07.11.1913 and the same devolved upon the petitioner by way of succession. However, the property has been wrongly classified as Government land (Poramboke). The petitioner submitted a representation dated 08.11.2021 to the third Page No. 2 of 5
respondent seeking rectification of the revenue records and issuance of patta. The third respondent, vide communication dated 29.11.2021, directed the fourth respondent to conduct an enquiry and submit a report. However, no further action has been taken. Therefore, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 08.11.2021 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the third respondent within a period of twelve weeks.
5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.11.2021 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The third respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other Page No. 3 of 5
